About Me.

Hi! I'm Avery Dawson and I'm a Senior at Blue Valley West High School. I've been taking pictures for a couple of years now. I started taking pictures Freshman year in Digital Imaging and joined the Yearbook team afterwards to continue taking pictures for the book as well as yinstabook. While looking at my photos, you will notice that a lot of my shots are close up and from either a worms or birds eye view. I like to capture things close up because textures and details are most apparent when doing so. All of the photos on my site are from Photography I and CAPS and throughout you will find some that were inspired or relate to my personal life. This includes track, important people in my life, animals I love, and just photos I have taken out and about on CAPS fieldtrips. The process of taking photos and developing film is something that I enjoy doing because each photo is uniquely different and can't be replicated. Throughout the classes I have taken, I have learned a lot about photography in general, how to roll film, further work a camera, process film, and to appreciate what goes into a piece of artwork.
